39th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show: August 24-31, 2014

The Hampton Classic Horse Show, one of the nation’s top show jumping competitions, returns to Bridgehampton, NY, for its 39th year, August 24-31. The Classic hosts hunter/jumper competition from all levels, and the grand prix show jumping, featuring the $250,000 Grand Prix and World Cup™ Qualifier  on Sunday, August 31. Sunday, August 24 – Leadline classes, Opening Day Ceremonies and the $50,000 Hampton Classic Hunter Derby, presented by MeadowView Farms highlight The Atlantic Opening Day at The Classic. Local classes take place in other rings throughout the day. Competition begins at 8:00am.

The Hamptons Classic offers world-class equestrian competition, a variety of shopping boutiques, gourmet food, and a spectacular VIP tent reception.The Hampton Classic offers over 100 classes of competition for horses and riders. The Classic also provides classes for riders with disabilities.

The last day of the Hampton Classic, Sun, August 31st, features the $30,000 7 & 8 Year-Old Young Jumper Championship Finals, the $25,000 Hampton Classic Jumping Derby and the $10,000 Hermès Hunter Classic. The week of competition ends with the $250,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix & FEI World CupTM Qualifier presented by Land Rover. The Grand Prix, features Olympians, World Champions, and show jumping veterans and helps riders earn coveted points for the 2015 Longines FEI World Cup Finals in Las Vegas next April.

The Hampton Classic is well-known for top equestrian competition, but also for its celebrities in attendance all week. Celebrities attending The Classic in recent years include Matt Lauer, Jerry Seinfeld and Kelly Ripa, actors Sofia Vergara, Mary-Kate Olsen and Julianne Moore, musicians Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and L.A. Reid, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, hoteliers Rick and Kathy Hilton, and Christie Brinkley.

Where: Bridgehampton, NY (off Montauk Highway, Route 27at 240 Snake Hollow Rd), 65-acre showgrounds, located near some of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast, amidst the fashionable Hamptons summer scene.

General Admission:

Daily: $10/person (under 6 free) or $20/carload. Seniors free: Tuesday – Thursday. Kids free: Saturday. Reserved Seats for Grand Prix Sunday: $25 p/person for bench seats in the Grandstands (in addition to $10/person or $20/carload admission) or $35 p/person for premium center-section Grandstand seating. Parking for the show is free.

WVVH-TV, the official Long Island television station of the Hampton Classic, airs a daily 4-hour telecast live from The Classic.
