Shimla To Manali Trip Blog

Every year thousands of tourists plan a trip to Shimla and Manali with their families and loved ones. I also get a lot of questions about planning a trip to Shimla and Manali on this blog. It is not surprising that both Shimla, better known as the "Queen of Hills" and Manali, better known as the "Honeymoon Area", are the most popular tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh.

Personally, Shimla has now been transformed into a desolate wasteland but the concrete forest still provides a few peaceful places. Manali, on the other hand, has many natural offerings. So keep reading this blog for the Shimla Manali tour package from Hyderabad.

Should I spend more time in Shimla or Manali?

Here is a plan in such a way that you spend more time in Manali than in Shimla. Manali has more to offer than Shimla, so it is better to spend more time in Manali. The river feature in Manali adds attraction to the unmistakable beauty of Shimla.

While Shimla may be more attractive to people close to buildings, Manali is more than just people close to nature. In the past, I have written a detailed tour guide to Manali that you can refer to for more details, if necessary.

Both Shimla and Manali are well connected to Delhi / Chandigarh by Volvo buses. I always prefer to take HPTDC or HRTC Volvo, which can be booked on their official websites. It is an appropriate warning that you should avoid private Volvo when HRTC and HPTDC have the best ships on offer. If not, to get to Shimla, you can also enjoy a toy train from Kalka to Shimla.

An 8-Day Plan to Shimla and Manali

Given below is an 8-day plan for a trip to Shimla and Manali, which you can follow and have a fun time with your family. Travel is limited and comfortable for people of all ages, including children and adults.

Therefore, your family will enjoy your balance of both Shimla and Manali while collecting those memories to be cherished forever. Feel free to shoot any questions or doubts you may have in the comments section below.

Day 1 | Delhi to Shimla

Arrive in Shimla by Volvo last night or by toy train. Check-in and relax at the hotel. In the second episode, explore the local Shimla, which includes Shimla Ridge, Mall Road, Lakkar Bazaar, and Back to Hotel By Evening. You can even arrange a Mashobra stay.

Day 2 | Shimla Local Sightseeing

Near Shimla, a day of rest. Jakhoo Temple, State Museum, Mall Road, Ridge, etc. as you like, or maybe you can visit Kufri in the first half of the day and all this in the second half of the day.

Day 3 | Shimla to Narkanda and Hatu Peak

Shimla - Narkanda - Hatu Peak - Narkanda - Shimla (a little longer day) or you can do Shimla - Kufri - Chail - Shimla. You can also combine it with Kufri. However, spending time near Narkanda - Thanedar - Hatu Peak will be worth the time. Also, if you are planning to go to Manali over Jalori Pass, it means it makes a lot of sense to stay overnight in Narkanda.

Day 4 | Shimla to Manali

This day will be widely used to travel from Shimla to Manali. You can arrange to travel from the Jalori Pass route. There is also a route through Tattapani - Chindi - Rohana. Or, you can reschedule the standard route with Bilaspur.

Day 5 | Manali Local Sightseeing

Local Manali tours include Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Mall Road, Local Monastery, Vashisth Hot Water Springs (never found interesting), etc. You can plan to spend time along the river or take a walk in the woods. near Old Manali.

Day 6 | Manali to Solang Valley or Rohtang Pass

Manali - Snow Point can be in Solang Valley or Marhi / Gulaba on the way to Rohtang Pass. Enjoy the snow, then head back to Manali. In the summer, you can go up to Rohtang Pass again. You can also plan to spend the night in Solang Valley, which is not the most visited place compared to the Manali crowd.

Day 7 | Manali to Jagatsukh to Naggar Castle

On this day you can travel from Manali to Jagatsukh and then to Naggar Castle. Jagatsukh is one of the rarest places in Himachal Pradesh and Naggar Castle is one of the most beautiful places in Himachal.

You should stay in Naggar and enjoy the place. It is very romantic with good ideas and food. Visit the Roerich Museum, and Art Gallery, and don't miss a trip to the ancient Krishna Temple upstairs.

Day 8 | Naggar Castle - Manali - Delhi

From your Hyderabad to Kullu Manali route you can leave Naggar Castle at noon and return home. As Volvo goes to Delhi it will be around 5.30 PM, so you can spend some time around Naggar only and after lunch goes to Manali or you have the option to return to Manali and stay on Mall road and finally take a return on the bus.

We're sure you didn't realize Manali and Shimla have so many activities to choose from. Plan your trip now!
