Royal Rajasthan Tour – The real India

Rajasthan, the home of royalty, is a gleaming diamond nestled amid a bleak desert setting of golden dunes. Rajasthan, often known as the Desert Jewel of India, is located in the northwestern section of the country. A vivid, exotic state where royal splendor and tradition collide in a riot of hues against a huge sand and desert landscape. Rajasthan’s heritage, culture, safaris, sand dunes, and beautiful green forests with its animals are unrivaled in the world. Rajasthan’s people, traditions, culture, clothes, music, etiquette, languages, food, and landscape are all unusually diverse.

In India, each area has its own set of traditional foods and specialties. Food is taken as a serious business and elevated to the level of an art form in Rajasthan’s royal kitchens. Rajasthani cookery was inspired by the region’s inhabitants’ warlike lifestyles and the availability of ingredients.

Gram flour is a key component in dishes like khata, gatta ki sabzi, pakodi, and mangodi and papad. Powdered lentils are used in mangodi and papad. Ghevar, malpuas, Mishri Mawa, Rasogullas, and other sweets are popular in addition to spicy flavours. The combination of dal, bati, and churma is perhaps the most well-known Rajasthani dish.

Rajasthan tourist destinations

JAIPUR

Jaipur, often known as the Pink City, was not always pink. In honor of the visiting Prince of Wales in 1876, the city’s principal thoroughfares and buildings were painted an earthy pink color. The blinding white starkness of its buildings was deemed to be too brilliant for the visiting prince, therefore the concept of painting structures pink was born. Every home in the old city is now legally required to maintain this facade. When the Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, visited Jaipur in 1876, Maharaja Man Singh II had the whole city painted pink.

The narrow alleyways of the ancient city are lined with beautiful, towering homes with latticed windows, their rose-pink color providing charm to a view that is almost enchanting at sunset. Today, luxury hotels and resorts provide excellent lodging for all visitors, and the tourism infrastructure is similarly well-managed.

UDAIPUR

Maharana Udai Singh II constructed Udaipur in 1568 when Mughal Emperor Akbar stormed his castle, Chittorgarh. In 1576, during Maharana Pratap’s rule, the city witnessed a fight with the Mughals at Haldighati. It’s also famous for its fine arts, crafts, and tiny paintings. Some of the city’s most notable palaces are the Lake Palace on Jag Niwas Island in the midst of Pichola Lake.

JODHPUR

After Jaipur, Jodhpur is Rajasthan’s second-largest city. A 10km-long wall, erected around a century after the city was founded, separates it from the desert. The city and its residents live beneath the stern gaze of Meherangah Fort, which is studded with castles, Havelis, temples, and light blue dwellings.

JAISALMER

The city of Jaisalmer, in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is divided into two sections: the ancient city and the modern city. This fort, which dates back to the 12th century, offers a breathtaking perspective of the golden desert.  A desert safari of the city, which includes a sight of sand dunes, will also leave you with a sight that will stay with you eternally.
