A city whose unique beauty none can challenge is Prague. I had the chance to visit it once again a few days ago. Beautiful Prague welcomed me with pleasantly warm temperatures. I stayed for four days as I was on a business trip, however I got the chance to take the short cruise on Moldau River and enjoyed the city from another point of view!
Prague is the largest city and the capital of the Czech Republic. According to historians, this an area inhabited since the Eolithic age. It's also the base of the royal house of Bohemia. The new city of Prague is a beautiful European city nowadays. However, the city still offers to the visitor its unique romantic charm as he visits the old city areas. Sight-seeing is endless in Prague, it all depends on the free time you have available.
Choosing a short cruise on Moldau is a good chance to get a better and faster impression of the entire city and its monuments. But beware.. if the weather is not clear or sunny, your view from the river boats will be foggy and quite restrictive!
We were quite lucky ourselves as the day we took this cruise there was no rain. The weather was quite cold so in order to stay on the deck of the boat and enjoy a better view, we wore thick hooded coats and gloves.
As the large boat was moving slowly along the river, we caught sight of beautiful classical buildings in a row. The banks are home to some true architectural masterpieces! This short cruise is worthwhile to take if nothing else, just to view these extraordinary buildings.
However, the highlight of this cruise is the view of the Charles Bridge. It’s a well-known landmark of the city that you cross underneath while thousands of visitors walk across it.
