Planning a family holiday is always special. It brings everyone together, creates lifelong memories, and offers a break from our daily routines. Last month, I decided to plan a group holiday with my entire family. After discussing with everyone, we agreed to explore the famous Golden Triangle of India- Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. It is one of the best travel circuits in India and perfect for a family group with different age groups.
Why I Chose the Golden Triangle
The Golden Triangle covers three cities filled with culture, history, food, and fun. Delhi, being the capital, offers a mix of modern and old. Agra has the world-famous Taj Mahal, and Jaipur brings the charm of Rajasthani palaces and forts. Each place has something for kids, adults, and even elders in the family. It seemed like the best idea for a short group holiday.
Booking the Group Holiday Tour Package
Since we were a large group of 12 people, including kids and senior citizens, I thought it would be better to book a group holiday tour package. After some research and comparing different options online, I found a reliable travel agency that offered customized packages. The best part was that they arranged everything, such as hotels, transport, guides, and even meal options. I just had to share our travel dates and preferences, and they did the rest.
Day 1: Arriving in Delhi
Our journey began in Delhi. We were picked up from the airport in a comfortable tempo traveller. It was very convenient for a big group like ours. The hotel was nice and had spacious rooms. That evening, we visited India Gate, Lotus Temple, and Qutub Minar. The kids had fun running around, and my parents loved the historical stories shared by our guide.
Day 2: Exploring Old and New Delhi
The next day, we explored Old Delhi, from the Red Fort to Chandni Chowk. The rickshaw ride in the narrow lanes was full of excitement. We also visited Raj Ghat and drove past the Presidential House. The mix of old and new Delhi gave us a beautiful picture of India's capital.
Day 3: Journey to Agra
After breakfast, we left for Agra. The drive was smooth and we reached in about 4 hours. Our first stop was the Agra Fort, which gave us a glimpse into the royal Mughal lifestyle. In the evening, we visited the Taj Mahal. Seeing it in real life was more beautiful than any photo. It was a magical moment for all of us.
Day 4: Off to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
On our way to Jaipur, we stopped at Fatehpur Sikri. It’s a historic city built by Emperor Akbar. Our guide told us many interesting stories there. We reached Jaipur by evening and checked into a heritage-style hotel that gave a royal touch to our stay.
Day 5: The Pink City Adventure
We started our Jaipur tour with the stunning Amber Fort, where we took a jeep ride to the top. Then we visited the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the famous Hawa Mahal. We also enjoyed shopping in the local markets and tried some spicy Rajasthani snacks. Everyone loved the colorful vibe of the Pink City.
Heading Back with Happy Memories
On the last day, we packed our bags with lots of shopping, memories, and laughter. The driver dropped us back at the Delhi airport. The tour was well-planned, and everything was smooth, thanks to the group tour package.
Planning a Golden Triangle holiday tour with my family turned out to be one of the best decisions. It was easy, safe, and enjoyable for every family member. If you are thinking about a family vacation in India, I highly recommend choosing the Golden Triangle route. Just book a good group tour package, and you’ll have a stress-free and unforgettable journey.
Traveling with family is not just about the places you see, but the moments you share, and this trip gave us plenty of those!
