Finally I got the first visa stamped on my passport. It was February when we (I and my spouse) were ready to take off from India. With uncountable emotions flooding our minds, we simply did not know how our Thailand (Pattaya) experience would turn out to be. The itinerary was provided to us, but the fear of traveling for the very first time to an international destination and that too to a popularly known city like Pattaya was not letting our thoughts shut down even for a second.
The first international traveling experience started with the flight. It was again indeed the first flight of my life, which turned out to be extremely comfortable, and overwhelming to my senses. It took 4 hours to reach Bangkok, from where our tour cab picked us up and landed us to Pattaya within 2 hours. And then the real journey started…
Pattaya has long been known as the naughtiest city of Thailand, but our primary motive was to experience its top nightlife.
Most of my friends (newlywed couples) had given us reviews about the enthralling party atmosphere of Pattaya, especially its famous Walking Street and yes, it indeed felt like that in the first glance only.
The Walking Street - Another World!
Generally speaking, the entire street, located in South Pattaya has so much to offer tourists from driving go-go bars, discos, massage parlors, and restaurants. The traffic on the Walking Street opens during the late evening where we encountered a wide array of guys and armies of ladies driving the crowd towards their throbbing party atmosphere, which includes boozing, bar games, raunchy shows, ping-pong shows, transsexual cabaret shows and more than you can even imagine. It's something everyone should experience at least once!
There's more. Like us, you can also experience some of the famous spots on Pattaya’s street:
AngelWitch - Dance Away the Tiredness!
Forget Pattaya’s standard pole-dance spots and indulge in a truly top-notich experience at this eye-catching strip club/go-go bar. We found nearly 30 strip shows running every night, and the choreography deserved applause each time. You will not get bored there easily as the shows begin from around 10 pm, drawing BIG crowds and keeping you busy with their drinks (high priced though they are - you'll find the same true at most every other bar you would come across).
Sweethearts A Go-Go
A go-go bar halfway down Walking Street, it's one of the craziest, with four stages on the two sides where ladies show their moves in bikinis. As the drinks are pricey here, as well, we preferred to visit during two-for-one "happy hours." (You can try for four as well!)
Casino Experience - Not to Be Missed!
No Pattaya’s visit is complete without some gambling. I personally was excited to try my luck, and did in fact win quite a bit cash in “Roulette” and 3d slots - a windfall we were happy to use for shopping.
All in all, an unforgettable and exciting experience still vivid in my mind's eye. Yes, especially if you like to party, Pattaya is a “must-go” destination!
