I began trekking just this year, and am still learning about the whole thing generally. In the end I was searching for an easy trekking trip within North India, and some favorable Thrillophilia reviews me towards this specific Beas Kund trek package. I'd heard about the trek previously and was aware of it's going to be a very popular option for novice trekkers. Invigorated by the positive tone of the reviews overall I decided with the trek. My cousin and I opted to join the trip earlier in March. The process of booking proved to be effortless, and we got satisfactory assistance during the booking as well as throughout the trip. My cousin and I traveled to Manali one day prior to the scheduled date. Our journey began in Old Manali, which is one of the more secluded and less shabby parts of the small hill station. The group, composed of six people, was greeted by their tour guides at the predetermined camping spot and then began our trek towards our first stop, The Jogini Waterfalls. The waterfalls turned out be very charming.
We stopped for a few photos and then took one quick walk around the tiny shrines that are hidden under the massive boulders that make up the waterfall. We walked over to our riverside campsite, where we would put up camp for the night in our tents. This was my first time camping along a river, and it couldn't have been better. In line with what I read in the Thrillophilia Tripadvisor reviews on the site The camping area here was very well-maintained. We were provided with fully equipped tents, on a double sharing basis. Because the camp is right by the River, we were able to participate in some exciting adventure activities such as rappelling or crossing the river. The night before we had an evening bonfire at the camp, where we got to get to know our fellow campers more. With lots of dancing and singing, as well as a large amount in food and drink, the evening was a huge party. The next day we set off towards Solang Valley, the adventure capital of the Himachal. We arrived by bus, and then set off by walking a bit to Dhundi and crossed beautiful meadows of bright green as we walked through. We spent the day in Solang and some of us went to adventure sports, with others like me opting to walk a bit further.
On the 4th day of our tour, we began our journey towards Beas Kund in earnest. The first part of the trek turned out to be the most strenuous ascent. Being unfamiliar with the sport, I struggled for a while but it was not to be feared. In addition, our guide was always on hand to help us out if we encountered any difficulties. The climb up to Beas Kund took about four hours all in all. We stopped at several rest stops during the climb, frequently taking a break at vantage points to catch an eyeful of the valleys that roll down below. Beas Kund itself is a tiny lake in the middle of the mountains, in which the waters of multiple rivers meet. We spent a few hours in the lake, snapping photos and taking in the views of the stunning mountains below. The trek then slid downwards towards Dhundi and Dhundi, where we stayed the night.
The fourth day was the end of the trek, when we trekked towards Solang Valley and continued onward towards Old Manali again. The thing that I liked most about the trek was the brief duration. I didn't want an experience that was demanding or stressful and this turned out perfect for me. my level. Furthermore, the package included the entire travel and dining arrangements too. We enjoyed healthy vegetarian meals that were cooked on site three times a day. The whole trip was efficiently guided with our expert trekking guide always available to provide any help. Overall my experiences with Thrillophilia was an exceptional one. I'm looking forward to my next visit with them very soon!
