Mehrangarh Fort is one of the most iconic landmarks in Jodhpur, also known as the “Blue City,” in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Mehrangarh Fort was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha, the chief of the Rajput clan known as the Rathores. The fort was built as a fortress to protect the city from invaders and is known for its impressive architecture and fortifications. The fort is spread over an area of 5 square kilometers and is surrounded by a thick wall that is 36 meters high.

Inside the fort, visitors can explore the various palaces and museums, including the Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, and Sheesh Mahal. The Moti Mahal is known for its intricate carvings and beautiful frescoes. The Phool Mahal is a palace that was built for the royal ladies and is known for its ornate decoration. The Sheesh Mahal is a palace that is adorned with mirrors and is a great spot for photography.
