AgattiThe Agatti Island is at a distance of 459 km from Kochi and is located the west of Kavaratti Island. It having an area of 3.84 sq km, with a maximum length of 10 km and width of km. It has a north-east, south-west trend with a long tail on the south. The lagoon area of this island is 17.50 sq km.In Agatti coral growths and multicoloured coral fishes abound in its lagoons. Fishing is the most important industry of Agatti which is perhaps the only island besides Minicoy getting surplus fish. Next to Fishing, Coir and Copra are the main industries . Agatti is the Air Port stopover from Cochin on the way to Bangaram which can be seen on the northern horizon.
BangaramBangaram Island, spread over 120 acres is uninhabited except for occasional visitors from the nearby island of Agatti, where the airport is situated. The island is surrounded by a shallow lagoon enclosed by coral reef. It has been ranked among the best getaways of the world. A matchless sense of well-being takes over and one begins to discover the graceful fishers, porcupines, parrots, Puffer fishes, Hermit Crabs and Seabirds on the vast 120 acres of lush coconut groves in Bangaram.The tourist resort on this island provides an amazing opportunity for guests to unwind from the pressures and tensions of modern life. Two small islands of Thinnakara and Parali also lie close to Bangaram enclosed by the same lagoon. Enjoy lunch and take rest for the day. In the evening, you can explore the nearby beach and enjoy the sunset. Back to hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at Agatti Island. | | Day 02: Agatti - Bangaram Island Day Trip and back via Thinnakara Island (by Private Boat) | | After breakfast, proceed to Bangaram Island, a small uninhabited island of Agatti, with a well-experienced guide. From Agatti, it will take 45minutes in a private boat to reach the island. Enjoy walks on beautiful beaches and see floating turtles in clear waters. After reaching Bangaram, explore the island on foot and our boat will bring you to Thinnakara Island for sightseeing. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Agatti. ( B,L,D) | | Day 03: Agatti Excursion & Free for water sports | | After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing on the island which includes attractions such as Public Library, Anthropological Museum, South Beach, Eastern Jetty (ship embarkation and disembarkation point), NIOT Sea Water Desalination Plant and Lagoon Beach.
