The Nurturing Power of Nature, SOFO's 34th Annual Gala Benefit! VIP Cocktail Reception - 6 to 7 pm. Our event, which in years past has been enjoyed by over 500 guests, begins with a VIP Cocktail Reception from 6-7 pm, featuring a special Tasting Menu donated, created & presented by acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs. The main reception will include an Honoree Presentation and a catered buffet dinner. 6 to 10 pm.
This year the event will be hosted by Sissi Bohlen, Carole Crist, Anke + Jurgen Friedrich, Kimberly Goff, Julia Haart, Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, Kim + Greg Lippmann, Susan + David Rockefeller, Ada Samuelsson, and Sammi + Scott Seltzer. The evening will honor some special friends of SOFO. Some of the honorees include Yvon Chouinard, Dan and Rae Emmett and family, Basil Seggos, and Annette Sabin, the Matriarch of the Sabin Family, will receive the Post humorous Animal Advocate Extraordinaire Award for her love of nature and wildlife. SoFo's most important and exciting benefit of the year! Benefiting SoFo's educational and environmental programs + initiatives and initiatives empowering families to be responsible stewards of our planet. The evening will celebrate 34 years of leadership in nature preservation and education, and growth from a small nature clubhouse founded in 1988 by SOFO Board President Andrew Sabin and a group of South Fork naturalists concerned about the future of the area's fragile ecosystems.
The evening will include a VIP cocktail reception with a tasting menu featuring bites from acclaimed local eateries including Almond, Peter Ambrose, Bamboo, Bell & Anchor, The Beacon, Centro, East Hampton Grill, Hen of the Woods, Page at 63 Main, Saaz, 1760 Homestead Farm, and Shellworks.
