The Sailor’s Ball raises money for New York Harbor Sailing Foundation programs, including the Lady Liberty Regatta (NY Harbor’s premiere all-women’s event), Operation Optimist (the largest junior sailing program in the harbor) and the 12 Meter Program (preserving these important pieces of American yachting tradition).
The VIP part of the Sailors Ball is the “12 Meter Dinner” held from 7 to 9 pm before the Ball. This is a seated dinner within the Down Town Association where the New York Harbor Sailing Foundation recognizes those organizations and individuals who made significant contributions to the renaissance of recreational sailing in New York Harbor. This dinner also benefits to the Foundation’s 12 Meter Program.

The New York Harbor Sailing Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation which is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
