Best time to visit Johor Bahru

Primarily two types of the season are experienced in Johor Bahru. They are:

Winter (November to April):

Winter comes with a huge amount of rainfall. If you are keen to travel in this off-season of Johor Bahru, restrict yourself to complete your sightseeing tour and shopping tour only in the morning hours.

Summer (May to October):

The climate in this season is quite pleasant as compared to winter. Hence, June to August is considered the best time to visit Johor Bahru. However, you are likely to face a huge crowd as tourists come for a family vacation in this city.

How to reach Johor Bahru

By Air:

Flights to Johor Bahru arrives at the Senai International Airport. From the airport, one can hail a taxi to reach the city center.

By Train:

Trains connect JB to cities such as Kuala Lumpur and Kota Bharu and to the countries of Thailand and Singapore.

By Boat:

Boats from Indonesia (from the islands of Bintan and Batam) arrive at the Johor Bahru ZON Ferry Terminal.

By Bus:

The cheapest way to reach Johor Bahru is by coach. There are numerous coach operators that have daily buses driving between Johor Bahru and many places within Peninsular Malaysia. Busses also connect JB to Singapore.

By Road:

Johor Bahru is situated at the southern end of the North-South Expressway, a toll highway which runs the length of Peninsular Malaysia.
