When thousands of birds rained from the sky over Beebe, Arkansas, on New Year's Day 2011, scientists theorized it was due to noise pollution created by celebratory fireworks. This article asks the question: Do you think we need to institute noise regulations around sensitive natural areas, or would such laws be too intrusive, unrealistic, and impossible to enforce?
