I'm so thrilled and honored that my novel, The Time Baroness, is Read of the Week! But is it a travel novel you ask? Well, Tripatini co-owner David Paul Appell and I batted that question around, and we agreed that though, no, it is not a travel book, per se, a novel about traveling to another era might just intrigue Tripatini members. To me, fantasizing about time-travel is about as good an escape as vacationing in some exotic locale. In The Time Baroness, the main character travels from the future to Jane Austen's time (around 1820), letting the reader experience southern England through her eyes - not as we would see it today, but as it was nearly 200 years ago.
The read of the week link will take you to the print version, but I wanted to let everyone know that The Time Baroness is also a 0.99 e-book, and it's on Kindle Select for those of you who are Kindle Prime members: http://amzn.to/td9Pmz. How wonderful to pop a fun read onto your Kindle for your next trip! By the way, its sequel, The Time Heiress is also available as both an e-book and in print: http://amzn.to/zGveFj. For those of you who love to visit New York City, try experiencing it in the year 1853 as the main character does in that book! It's a real eye-opener.
Anyway, thanks to David for going out on a bit of a limb with this Read of the Week, and I hope you all will take a peek at either (or both) of my time-travel novels!
