Important Pilgrim Attraction In Badrinath

Badrinath is one of the important destinations of chardham circuit. This holiest Hindu city is situated in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand India. As according to hear and say the Adi Shankaracharya found a statue of Lord Badrinarayan in the river Alaknanda made from Saligram stone. Badrinath was reestablished as a major Hindu pilgrim site in ninth century by Adi Guru Shankaracharya.

The Badrinath is situated between Nar and Narayana mountain ranges and in the shadow of Nilkantha Mountain. It is located in the evaluation of 3,415 metres (11,204 feet) in the Garhwal hills, on the bank of Alaknanda River.

The legendry hindu pilgrim center located very near to indo- china (Tibet) border. Generally the Badrinath Tour is of two days long journey either from Kedarnath or or one of the main disembarkation points on the plains. Hemkund Sahib, one of the pilgrim centers of Sikh, is on the way to Badrinath. The best time to visit Badrinath is between July to September. Warm clothes are recommended through the year.

Panch Dharas- It is most sought after pilgrim tourist destination in the state of Uttarakhand, positioned in Badripuri and frequently visited by eager pilgrims. They are popular by the designations of Prahlad Dharas, Kurma Dharas, Bhrigu Dharas, Urvashi Dharas and Indira Dhara respectively.

Narad Kund – It is one of the most revered centers in Badrinath. This is the pool wherefrom the Badrinath idol was recovered. It is formed by the recess in the Alakananda River sheltered by a rock naturally. Water in Narada Kund is so hot that it would not be advisable to take long baths in the pond.

Tapt Kund- It is believed to be the holy abode of Lord Agni. Pilgrims believe that a dip in this sacred pond relieves them every sings of live. The pond water measures 45°C temperature. A hot water spring in the midst of snowy peaks of Himalayas is quite a wonderful vista of nature. A bathe in the hot spring provide a revitalizing vigor and energy to all the visitors who had undertook a tiresome climb.

Brahma Kapal – It is mainly a Ghat, a flat platform on the banks of the Alakananda River. It is believed that Lord Brahma resides on this Ghat. The devotees pay homage and rituals to the departed souls. It is also conventional to proffer sraddha to ancestors and It is situated just 100 meters north of the Badrinath Temple.

Charanpaduka – It is a beautiful roc, which holds the foot print of Lord Vishnu. It the placewhere Hindu God are said to have their walk of the earth. It is situated on elevated site at a height of 3380 feet, this place beholds enchanting beauty and serenity.

Apart from these beautiful sites the punch badri are also one to the main pilgrim’s attraction. The name of Punch Badri is as follows:-

  3. Bhavishya Badri
  4. Vridha Badri
  5. Adi Badri

 

As far as the Badrinath Hotels is concern. Pilgrims can easily find good accommodation there, but in pick season it’s tough to have accommodation in those hotels as the number of visitors is in huge and one cannot easily get accommodation there. Never the less Hotel Dwarikesh, Hotel Nanda Residency, Hotel Narayan Palace, Hotel Patliputra, Hotel Rajasthan Niketan are some of the most famous hotels in Badrinath. All these hotels are essence and have all the basic amenities as like24 7 room services, electricity backup etc. There are various types of hotels in Badrinath which range from luxury hotels, middle range hotels to economy and budget ones.
