Ratha Saptami, also known as Surya Jayanti, is a grand festival celebrated at the
Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple. It marks the symbolic birthday of Lord Surya (Sun God)
and is considered highly auspicious for devotees seeking divine blessings. Falling on
February 4th, 2025, this festival is popularly known as the One Day Brahmotsavam due
to its elaborate rituals and spiritual significance.


On this day, devotees believe that taking a holy bath before sunrise (Arunodaya
Snanam) removes sins and bestows health, prosperity, and spiritual progress. Due to its
immense importance, lakhs of pilgrims flock to Tirumala Tirupati to witness the divine
processions and special rituals.

No NRI Darshan & Infant Darshan on Ratha Saptami (Feb 4,
2025)
Due to the crowd and special rituals, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has
officially suspended the following darshan categories on February 4th, 2025:
No NRI Darshan on Ratha Saptami
The NRI Darshan in Tirumala, which allows Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to have a
special entry darshan, will not be available on Ratha Saptami due to the heavy influx of
pilgrims and continuous sevas in the temple.
Alternative Date Suggestion: NRIs can plan their visit before or after February 4th to
avoid inconvenience.


No Infant Darshan on Ratha Saptami


The Infant Darshan in Tirumala, which permits parents with babies below 1 year to avail
a priority darshan, is cancelled on Ratha Saptami. The huge crowd and continuous
sevas make it difficult to accommodate this facility.
Alternative Date Suggestion: Families with infants are advised to visit on less crowded
