There are two mountains by the site of Machu Picchu, called Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu Mountain.
Huayna Picchu is the mountain that you see in most pictures of Machu Picchu. It is located on the other side of the valley opposite Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu means ”old peak” in Quechua and Huayna Picchu means ”young peak”. We offer tours that allow you to see these mountains, and of course the Machu Picchu itself. See more here.
