A fleet of almost 10,000 Asian elephants was utilized to transport the marble used to build the Taj Mahal from Makrana. The construction of this magnificent structure, which is located on the right bank of the Yamuna River and has an indestructible foundation, required the energy, thick perspiration, and labor of 20,000 artisans.
