On this day tour, learn about the attractions and hidden gems of Agra's Mughal City. In a private air-conditioned automobile, travel from Delhi to Agra along the Yamuna Expressway. Discover more about the Mughal era capital history by visiting attractions such as the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, the Baby Taj, and the Taj Mahal with a river view than you would if you were travelling individually.
Early Morning: The driver will pick you up in Delhi and drive you to Agra
This taj mahal tour by car will begin with an early morning pick-up from Delhi Airport or anyplace in the Delhi NCR (including Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad), followed by a three-hour journey via the Express Highway to Agra City. Here is where the adventure of a same-day Taj Mahal tour begins.
Morning: Upon arrival in Agra, meet with a guide to tour the Taj Mahal
When you arrive in Agra, you will be greeted by our tour guide and taken to see the beautiful Taj Mahal at sunrise.
The finest time to visit the Taj Mahal is at sunrise. Not only does the early morning light lend the temple's dome a warm, golden colour, but it's also when there are the fewest tourists, and if you get there early enough, you could even be able to capture some perfect photographs without people in them.
The Taj Mahal is a magnificent structure. Mughal monarch Shah Jahan created this love monument in honour of his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century. The right bank of the Yamuna River is home to this jewel of Indian tourism. On Friday, the Taj Mahal will be closed.
Noon: Following that, Go to Agra Fort
Following your tour of the Taj Mahal, you will visit Agra Fort, often known as the Red Fort of Agra.
Another UNESCO World Heritage Site is Agra Fort. On Emperor Akbar's orders, this fort was repaired with red sandstone and is enclosed on all four sides by 21.4 metre high walls and four gates.
Due to its strategic location, Quila-i-Akbari, as the Red Fort is sometimes known, served as the Mughal sultanate's capital. Inside the Agra Fort, your guide will tell you about the Diwan-I-Aam (the hall of public audience), the Diwan-I-Khas (the hall of private audience), the Sheesh Mahal (a glass palace with tiny mirrors on the walls), the Jasmine Tower, and other mosques. Shah Jahan is thought to have been imprisoned and died there.
Lunch Time
After touring the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort included in our same day Agra tour by car, stop for a delicious lunch at one of the city's greatest restaurants or a prestigious hotel. The lunch will include the famous items of your choice.
After lunch, you'll take a break in an air-conditioned restaurant before heading to Mehtab Bagh for a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from the backside.
Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden), located directly across the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal, provides a breathtaking view of Agra's most famous monument. While the vistas are the main attraction of this 16th-century garden, it's also worth a visit for its excellent landscape design and peaceful atmosphere.
Evening: Return to Delhi by car
After a fantastic same day taj mahal tour by car, return to Delhi and check into your hotel or airport for your next flight.
