The Mt. Everest trekking region is situated in the Sagarmatha National Park, which is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. It offers fabulous views of mahalangur Himalayan range along with Mt. Everest and the chance to mingle with friendly Sherpa people. Himalayan wildlife commonly seen are Himalayan Thar, musk deer, colorful Danfe, and perhaps even the rare species of Red Panda & Snow Leopard, not to mention the ever-present yaks of the higher elevations. Pine, Juniper, and Birch trees will surround you as you trek through the forested areas and colorful flowers will welcome you in the spring. Monasteries, prayer wheels, mani stones, and fluttering prayer flags line your route providing an opportunity to explore your spirit as you challenge your body in the peace and beauty of the Himalayas.

Best Season

Autumn (Sept to Nov) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Everest Base Camp Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. Trekking in summer or Monsoon (June to Aug) will be affected by rain but summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist. In winter the temperature will go below up to -30 degrees.
