The Braj 84 Kos Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages for devotees of Shri Krishna. Brajbhoomi, believed to be the land where Lord Krishna spent his childhood, is said to hold divine presence in every particle. This yatra covers all the important places associated with Krishna’s life, from Mathura and Vrindavan to Govardhan, Barsana, Nandgaon, and Gokul.
The total distance of Braj 84 Kos Yatra is around 252 km and includes ancient temples, kunds, forests, villages, and ghats connected to Krishna leela. According to belief, completing this parikrama helps devotees get liberation from the cycle of 84 lakh yonis. Many pilgrims perform this yatra barefoot, which can take more than a month, while others complete it in 7 to 10 days using a vehicle.
The yatra is usually undertaken during Chaitra to Vaishakh months or during Chaturmaas, when its spiritual significance increases. Proper planning, comfortable travel, and a devotional mindset make the Braj 84 Kos Yatra a deeply fulfilling spiritual journey.
