Poland is one of the countries where autumn plays beautifully with a landscape. If you are wondering where to spend your autumn holiday, Poland offers many gateways as well as cultural events for an affordable price.

The most picturesque place in Poland during autumn is Bieszczady Mountains. Located in the extreme south east corner of Poland, Bieszczady are perfect hideaway for those who seek a retreat from an everyday rush. Easy to hike, with the highest peak Tarnica reaching 1,346 meters, these mountains are perfect for beginners. A vast, beautiful, highland landscape with waterfalls, lakes, valleys, all bathed in colours red and green offer unforgettable scenery. The region is inhabited by bears, wolfs and eagles, to name just a few. Sport fans can try glider flying on Bezmiechowa Mountain, caving or horse riding.

Various types of accommodation can be found in there: hotels, hostels, and cottages. Best way to get there is to take a flight to Rzeszow Airport and hire a car and set off to adventure.

Warsaw

Polish capital city has gained a new grandeur stadium thanks to European football championship that Poland was hosting together with Ukraine this summer. Small street market stances have given way to a momentous stadium that has created a new landscape in Warsaw, now being the proud of the Warsaw people. It is located in the very city centre by river Vistula and can also be viewed from the other bank. Warsaw is changing into a modern city with a new subway line being built. It has all you might need, cultural events, sports and leisure. Something for your soul and body. Although it has been destroyed in 80 percent during the war, Warsaw has been rebuilt and attracts many tourists from around the world. There are 82 parks in the city with Royal Baths Park from the 17th century being the largest one and home for many architecture sight seeing attractions as Palace on the Water or amphitheater with its scene on the water. The Royal Baths Park lies on Ujazdow Avenue with foreign embassies and governmental buildings and neighbours the Ujazdow Castle. You can take a walk in the park and reach the Old Town district through Krakowskie Przedmiescie street where the Warsaw University campus is located.

Autumn in Warsaw is when some major cultural events take place. It is time for 'Warsaw Autumn' - an international festival of contemporary music that will host for the 55th time from 21 to 29 September international contemporary composers. The next month is going to welcome Warsaw Film Festival in 12-21 October with various international productions and directors.

Make the best of your holiday and hire a car in Warsaw airport to make it easier to reach your hotel and discover Warsaw.
