When in Lake Charles, Louisiana head to Sha Sha’s of Creole for the most amazing bread pudding. Life is short so enjoy it. They take the original bread pudding batter and then deep fry it. When it's golden, they top it with powdered sugar, rum sauce, and Cool Whip. My! Oh! My!
Sha Sha’s concept and design is reflective of Creole, the Creole Nature Trail and the entire Cameron Parish area. Their handmade tables were crafted from log and cypress. T lights are metal shrimp buckets turned upside down. The tin roofs display bits and pieces of history.
After serving the Creole community for almost 40 years, they recently made a decision to move to the Lake Charles area. The devastating hurricanes have forever changed the place we call "home". Experience a whole new world of flavor when you bite into their crab cakes, delicious gumbo, or that wonderful bread pudding.
Life is short so enjoy their fried pickles and fried Oreos but there is a whole array of great Creole delights on their menu. Start with their homemade gumbo – that Louisiana specialty. Try their Oyster Po Boys or Fried Catfish dinner enjoyed with one of their great salads. They also have steaks and burgers. Regardless what you choose you will have an amazing meal that will be savored for a long time. For more information check http://shashasofcreole.com and VisitLakeCharles.org
