The Nature Conservancy on Long Island will hold its Summer Benefit on Saturday, June 25, 2016. It is our major fund-raising event in support of clean water and conservation on Long Island. We are thrilled to have Ina & Jeffrey Garten as our Honorary Co-Chairs, and Anne & Nicolas Erni and Pam & Peter Flaherty as our Benefit Co-Chairs.

The Nature Conservancy is a global leader in sustainability and conservation. The organization is transforming how we use our oceans, farms, ranches and forests for people and nature. On Long Island, The Nature Conservancy is the leading innovator for sustainable water resources. Our aquifers are polluted with nitrogen from wastewater, and they transport that pollution into our bays and harbors – with devastating impacts on wetlands, seagrass, fish and shellfish. The problem is only expected to get worse unless we take action now.

At our June 25th benefit, we will be raising funds for and awareness about clean water and conservation on Long Island. Revenue raised will be used for innovative water quality projects, such as high-tech water quality monitors for our bays and new wastewater treatment options for homes from East Hampton to Port Washington. In addition, we will leverage your donations by advocating for more public funding.

You can help by purchasing tickets or by making a donation to The Nature Conservancy’s Clean Water Fund. Your support of the Summer Benefit helps the Nature Conservancy protect and manage Long Island’s rich environment, including the wetlands, bays, harbors and forests that we all love.

Chef and cookbook author Ina Garten will serve a specially-prepared Barefoot Contessa Dinner, focusing on regionally and sustainably grown foods. And, to inspire lively conversation and debate, there will be no band or dancing during dinner! It promises to be a lovely summer evening with friends and supporters like you, who are passionate about conservation on Long Island.
