Fireflies at Elkmont
If you are visiting in the spring or early summer, you should take time to experience the Smoky Mountain fireflies at Elkmont. The Smoky Mountain is the only one out of two places in the entire world where you can experience being amid millions of fireflies which flock here for their annual mating every year between late April and early June. This allows visitors to see a stunning natural light show that you can't find anywhere else.
Gatlinburg Sky Lift
The chairlift ride to the top of Crockett Mountain and back down is fun any time of day, but even more breathtaking under a sky filled filled with twinkling stars.
