We are going to discussing five awesome skiing resorts for you in Europe - four in France and one in Austria. Not only will this enable you to choose between the best and get all your needs in one place but it also provides you with all the information you need in one place.
Alpe d’Huez, France
This place is a true paradise for people who love skiing and the outdoors, It has a phenomenal full south facing view which stands at 1,860 m altitude situated in the Grandes Rousses mountain range. Not only does it have winter sports but summer sports to so you can mix it up a little.
The resort is also known for its very sunny climate. The Alpe d’Huez resort also links up to villages such as, Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Ozen-Oisans, Villard-Reculas, Vaujany, Le Freney and La Gard. La Plagne, France
La Plagne is a fantastic family resort filled with plenty of activities for everyone. It is situated in the french alps and stands at 1260 and 3260 metres That is a lot of space right?. If that is not good enough, La Plagne currently stands with over fifty years of winter sports, Very impressive. 7 bob sleigh slopes currently reside here so there is plenty to go around.
Montgenevre, France
Montgenevre has for many years prided itself in delighting thousands of people who come and visit from all over the world. This is a family friendly resort and a good choice for bringing the kids. It is only a few steps away from the border of Italy.
This French resort is the only resort connected to the Olympic domain situated in Sestrieres. There is some seriously steep terrain here! Make sure your equipment is in top shape, the Flux snowboard bindings I bought at the pro shop were just what I needed. You can see them here and decide if they are a good choice for you. Montgenevre has tremendous transportation thanks to the train station in the city of Oulx or the city of Briancon, is just fifteen minute drive away. Overall an excellent choice for snowboarding!
Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria
Also known as ‘Skicircus’ Saalbach Hinterglemm, this resort is Austria’s largest ski resort with 270 kilometres long and featuring 70 newly designed lifts. You have the luxury of choosing whether you want to ski in/ski out on well groomed slopes to make your journey down even smoother than you could imagine. Whatever your forte, skiing, snowboarding or just an on looker this place is for you, with over fifty cosy mountain huts serving the local specialities.
Courchevel, France
Courchevel is well known for its exceptional option of Ski-In or Ski-Out activities. Not to mention the 25 holiday resort hotels it has to offer 2 of which are palace and 16 5 stars. You are probably asking is that it? No, that is not it. The resort is situated right in the heart of 3 villages and has the most beautiful playground for all levels of skiing. Not to mention fully qualified chefs not 1 but 7! you can look forward to a fantastic meal at the end of the day.
