3-Day Udaipur Weekend Trip from Delhi by Urbania Tempo Traveller

After spending weeks following the same busy routine, we decided to take a refreshing break and planned a 3-day trip from Delhi to Udaipur with our family and friends. Udaipur, popularly known for its lakes, palaces and beautiful heritage, sounded like the perfect destination for a memorable weekend. Since we wanted everyone to travel together comfortably, we booked an Urbania Tempo Traveller on Rent in Delhi for our outstation journey.

Travelling in an Urbania made our trip more enjoyable because we did not have to worry about driving multiple cars or coordinating with different vehicles. We could sit together, talk, listen to music, enjoy snacks and admire the changing scenery along the way.

Day 1: Delhi to Udaipur Road Journey

We started our journey from Delhi early in the morning. The road trip was long, but travelling together made it feel much easier. We carried snacks and music for the journey and stopped at a convenient place for breakfast and tea.

As we travelled towards Rajasthan, the landscape gradually changed. The busy roads and urban surroundings slowly gave way to open highways and the distinctive scenery of Rajasthan. We enjoyed conversations, clicked pictures during breaks and continued towards Udaipur.

After reaching Udaipur, we checked into our hotel. The hotel was comfortable, clean and provided a relaxing atmosphere after the long road journey. After freshening up and taking some rest, we went out for an evening walk.

We visited the area around Lake Pichola and enjoyed the beautiful evening atmosphere. The lake, surrounding hills and heritage buildings created a wonderful setting for photographs. We also explored nearby markets before returning for dinner.

For our first dinner in Udaipur, we tried traditional Rajasthani dishes along with North Indian food. The flavours and variety of local cuisine added another enjoyable experience to our trip.

Day 2: Udaipur Sightseeing, Lakes and Local Food

The second day was the main sightseeing day of our Udaipur trip. After breakfast at the hotel, we started exploring the city's popular attractions in our Urbania Tempo Traveller on Rent.

Our first stop was the magnificent City Palace. The palace complex is known for its historic architecture, courtyards, balconies and views over Lake Pichola. We spent plenty of time exploring the complex and taking photographs.

After City Palace, we visited Jagdish Temple, an important historic temple located in the heart of Udaipur. We then continued towards Saheliyon-ki-Bari, known for its gardens, fountains and peaceful surroundings.

By lunchtime, we were ready to enjoy some local food. We had a delicious meal at a restaurant and tried Rajasthani specialities along with familiar Indian dishes. In the evening, we returned towards Lake Pichola and enjoyed the beautiful views around the waterfront.

We also spent time shopping for souvenirs and exploring local handicrafts. After a full day of sightseeing, shopping and photography, we returned to our hotel for dinner and a good night's sleep.

Day 3: Final Memories and Return to Delhi

On the third morning, we had breakfast and prepared for our return journey to Delhi. Before leaving Udaipur, we spent some time enjoying the peaceful surroundings and taking our final photographs.

Our Urbania Tempo Traveller in Delhi was ready for the return journey, allowing our entire group to travel together comfortably. Having one vehicle for the whole group made the trip convenient, especially because we had luggage and shopping bags with us.

As we travelled back, we talked about our favourite moments of the holiday — the beautiful lakes, City Palace, delicious food, colourful markets and all the fun we shared together.

Conclusion

Our 3-day Delhi to Udaipur weekend trip was a memorable combination of road-trip fun, comfortable accommodation, delicious food and sightseeing. Hiring an Urbania Tempo Traveller in Delhi for an outstation trip to Udaipur made our group journey convenient and allowed us to enjoy the road without the stress of driving multiple vehicles.

For families, friends and groups planning a Delhi to Udaipur trip by Tempo Traveller, travelling together can make the journey itself part of the holiday. From exploring grand palaces and peaceful lakes to enjoying local Rajasthani cuisine, Udaipur gave us many wonderful memories to take home.
