The Annapurna base camp trek through the Poon hill route is the best trip in the Annapurna region to see the Annapurna I well and reach very close to this mountain. You can reach it in 3 days from Pokhara by doing a short base camp trek. The Annapurna circuit trekking trail goes behind this mountain, but you do not see it from the circuit trail.
