You can see amazing mountain views from Gorakshep, but not a very nice view of Everest. You need to climb Kalapatthar, from where you can see the perfect closest view of the world's highest mountain with lots of other high mountains in 360 degrees. The mountains look far better in the sunset from Kalapatthar. You can hike this hill from Gorakshep. which is about two hours hike during your Everest base camp trek, Everest high passes trek, and the Everest base camp Gokyo lakes trek. If you do not have enough time, you can fly out from Gorakshep after visiting the Kala Patthar or take a helicopter tour to Kalapatthar from Kathmandu.
