Old Cairo

Founded as the capital of Egypt in 969, Old Cairo has become one of the best tourist attractions in the capital city. It houses quite a large number of mosques, churches, synagogues and Medieval houses. One of the best places fo see there is certainly the Grand Market. When you visit the market you should have a cup of delicious mint tea in an old-fashioned cafe.
