This square is the epicenter of the city’s lovely medieval core, ringed by Gothic/early Renaissance guild halls in addition to the Stadhuis (city hall); to experience the inside of one of these guild halls, check out the Vleeshuis (meat guild) on Vleeshouwersstraat.
