Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal

Annapurna circuit trek is a popular classic trekking route among the global trekkers. It is also well knows as round Annapurna trek. It is an adventurous 160-230 Km hikes around the majestic Annapurna massif. Annapurna is located in the north-central part of Nepal. It has been preferred as the best long distance trek in the world. This trail is opened for foreign travelers since 1980s. The trek starts from a low altitude and it reaches a height of 5,416 meters at the Thorang La pass. Thorong La is the highest and challenging pass of the trek. This splendid pass is one of the best points on the face of earth to view the sublime beauty of the mighty Himalayas. The trek crosses two different river valleys encircling the Annapurna range. Annapurna Circuit Trek begins at Beshisahar in the Marshyangdi river valley and ends up in the Kali Gandaki gorge. It is the deepest gorge in the world. The trail passes along paddy fields, sub-tropical forest, amazing waterfalls, huge cliffs and several villages. Depending on the trekkers’ speed, length of the side trips and rest days taken, it usually takes 10 to 15 days to complete the journey. Lodges / Tea houses accommodation and hygienic meals are available along the trek.
