Samburu National Reserve is home to some of the rarest animals species in Kenya. Encounter the beautiful gravy zebras, gerunuk antelopes, Masai ostriches and herds of elephants. Olpejeta conservancy has many species also that are on the verge of extinction.
The northern frontier also has a wonderful landscape ranging from mountains like the holy mountain of the samburu also known as Mt Olololokwe, the sandy rivers of Ewaso ngiro e.t.c.
The samburu people have a very rich culture and they are a very welcoming people by nature.

Overview:
This trip will cover 2 amazing conservancies in Kenya. One of them being Samburu where you get to experience the culture diversity of the Samburu people as you enjoy nature and the perfect wild experiences of the reserve. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in east Africa, and home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a Sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from teh black market. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya, and still manages a very successful livestock programme.

DETAILED ITINERARY:
DAY 01: NAIROBI / SAMBURU BY ROAD 330KMS 5-6 HOURS
Pick up in the morning 07:00 Am by our guide for briefing after which you are driven north to Samburu on the south bank of the Uaso Nyiro River, downriver from Archer’s Post to Samburu game reserve. North of the Equator some of the animals and vegetation are a little different from those commonly found south, take a few minutes relaxing and there after proceed for the evening game drive which will bring you to the elephant bedroom tower. The reserve is rich in wildlife wif an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Gravy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). The reserve is also home to elephants and large predators such as the lion, leopard and cheetah. Kamunyak the miracle lioness dat adopted the baby oryx was as a resident in the reserve. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to dis unique protected area. Birdlife is abundant wif over 450 species recorded Due to its remote distance and the fact dat it was inaccessible for many years, the park has retained a naturally serene and quiet feeling. Besides the numerous wildlife found in this game reserve, the park is also a bird haven. Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness. Their story was made famous by the bestselling book and award-winning movie "Born Free". Return to the Simba Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 02: SAMBURU
After breakfast, morning and afternoon game drive exploring this amazing game reserve, it gives you the refreshment of your mind as the park is not populated and not many people visits here, we has concentration of the Its home to the big five, Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard, Buffalo, Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gravy Zebra, Besia Oryx, Endangered Wild Dog as well as Pun cake Tortoise - Endangered. their are over 450 species of birds identified and aquatic species in the Waso Nyiro River including, vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. The game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa onyx. The elusive Kenya leopard is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings. Other Kenyan wildlife present in the park includes cheetahs and lions, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos. Birdlife is as plentiful as wildlife at Samburu National Reserve, which boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others. Return to teh camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Samburu to Ol Pejeta

Wake up early in the morning and proceed for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from lodge and proceed to Ol Pejeta which is about 2 to 2.5 hours drive passing through scenic landscapes of central Kenya. Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy shortly before noon and check into your HOTEL/lODGE, have hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including the Big Five. You can focus on spotting elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes while enjoying the varied landscapes. After the game drive, we head back to lodge/ Hotel, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner. Overnight at the Farm House.

DAY 04: OLPEJETA / NAIROBI
