  Just joined Tripatini and I'm introducing myself to the editors in the group. I'm a freelance travel writer named Karen Catchpole and I, along with my partner photographer Eric Mohl, are in the midst of the Trans-Americas Journey--our 5 year, 200,000+ mile working road trip through North, Central and South America. Our work appears in publications including Travel & Leisure, National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Adventure, Allure, Elle, Every Day with Rachael Ray, the travel sections of the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Dallas Morning News, PC Magazine, www.fodors.com, www.indagare.com and www.itravelishop.com.

  Good morning, Jim, and welcome to Tripatini! Great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.
  
  To get the most out of us, you may want to take a moment to join several of our many groups which you may find of particular interest, such as Media Only, Canada, Eating/Drinking the World, The Caribbean, Business Travel, Airfares/Air Travel, Eco/Sustainable Tourism, Adventure Travel, Shopping the World, and plenty of others covering many topics and most destinations across the the globe.
  
  FYI, on your profile you'll see a green bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your interests, your travels, and the Toronto Star travel section.
  
  Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, associates, and readers. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!).
