The Women’s Travel Club announced today that it is the price leader in package tours for women. Based on a study of women’s travel companies with similarly rated hotels and inclusions, prices are on average 35% less than those of other women’s tours. This difference is, in part, due to the fact that
The Club is an affiliate of a larger entity with buying power and 4 global offices. Women’s Travel Clubtrips include international airfare, 4/5 star hotels, sightseeing, and regional meals.
Each tour carries an optional room share arrangement for solo travelers.
Trips are designed by women for women and overseen by The Club's original founder, Phyllis Stoller
An example of its pricing policy is The Golden Triangle of India: $2299 + taxes. The trip includes airfare on Virgin Atlantic, 4/5 star hotels, sightseeing in Delhi , Agra, and Jaipur. Specials organized are dinner in a historic private home, several regional dinners, 2 extended afternoon shopping jaunts, and a finale at The Surajkund Crafts Mela, showcasing India’s arts and crafts.
According to Phyllis Stoller, “Price is critically important to women for four reasons: 1. We earn less than men.
2. We travel more than men. 3. We expect more from travel than do men. 4. We budget more than men, and prefer to know the total cost of the trip up front.”
The Club was founded in 1992, as one of the first women's tour groups in The United States, Membership in The Women's Travel Club is $39 a year and entitles women to a range of travel services including
those offered by its affiliate, Club ABC Tours. Discounted New York hotel extensions can be combined with trips that offer special airfares from JFK and EWR.
