One of the coolest things about Door County is its route of 11 19th-century lighthouses along 300 miles of Lake Michigan shore. There's a trolley tour, a maritime museum with all the lore, and even a couple of annual “festivals” (this year June 9-11 and September 29- October. 1) during which people can visit several which aren’t open to the public.
