14 Days Photographic Safari
Day 01: ARRIVAL
Arrive at JRO. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by our Safari Representative and transferred to Arusha, for dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Game lodge/ Mt Meru hotel
Day 02: Arusha National Park
After breakfast drive to Arusha National Park passing by herds of zebra, buffalo, and giraffe on the savannah. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Momella Lake famous for huge flocks of colorful flamingos and its views at majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Game drive around the different habitats in this truly beautiful Park There are black and white colobus monkeys (unique to this Park in northern Tanzania), Sykes’s and vervet monkeys, shy forest duikers, leopards, and substantial herds of antelope.
Late in the evening drive to Mount Meru hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Arusha –Olduvai- Ndutu
After early breakfast, collect lunch boxes and drive towards lake Manyara, proceed to Ngorongoro highlands and on to Olduvai Gorge and also make a brief stop at a Masai Village .The Olduvai Gorge is the point where the hominids Australopithecus Boisei was discovered by Louis and Mary Leakey, a discovery that later led to the theory evolution and that Africa is the Cradle of mankind. You will continue on your way to Ndutu plains area, for afternoon game drives and later check in at Ndutu Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 04: Ndutu Plains
Collect breakfast boxes and proceed for an early morning game drive in Ndutu. You will extend the game drives till lunch time. Drive back to the lodge for a hot lunch. Late in the afternoon, you will continue with the game drives and get a chance of visiting Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek. Ndutu is where the Great Migration’ gathers during the month of January/February for their foaling and calving season, but for the rest of the year it is a hot spot for tracking the Big Cats, and it is where the researchers spend most time studying the big cats. Dinner and overnight at Ndutu Safari Lodge.
Day 05: Ndutu–Serengeti-Mbalangeti
Collect breakfast and Lunch boxes and proceed for an early morning game drive in Ndutu area before proceeding to the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. Lunch boxes will be served at one of the picnic sites in Serengeti. You will then continue your way towards western corridor Grumeti area with game drives en route. Arrive in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Mbalangeti safari camp.
Day 06: Serengeti Plains.
Here on this day you can go for a very early morning game drive if you wish then back to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast you will cross over to Serengeti and spend the rest of the day in the Serengeti plains doing game drives if you wish. You may choose to do a morning game drive and relax during the afternoon or do two full days of game drives in the Serengeti Plains. Overnight at Mbalangeti Camp .
Day 07 - 08: Serengeti Plains.
Collect breakfast boxes and proceed for an early morning game drives before driving to the Northern Serengeti where you will spend two days doing game drives around Lobo and Bologonja areas of northern Serengeti National Park tracking the Great Migration herds. Overnight at Lobo Wildife Lodge.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Collect breakfast boxes and proceed for an early morning game drives before driving to drive through the Central Serengeti and cross via the Naabi Hill Gate and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim. We will stop at a Maasai village (if not yet done on day 3) on the way to learn about their nomadic life and traditions as well as have a chance to take some photos. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater.
Depart with Breakfast and lunch boxes and descend 2000 feet down the floor of crater for a full day crater tour. Ngorongoro Crater is the world largest unbroken caldera that is also the largest natural zoo; Ngorongoro Crater is unparalleled in terms of animal concentration in the World.
This day will be spent exploring this eighth world wonder with picnic lunches served at the hippo pool side. If you are lucky you can spot all the big 5, in one day. Later in the afternoon you will drive up the Crater rim and drive for overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, collect lunch boxes and descend 2000 feet down the floor of crater for a full day crater tour. Picnic lunches served at the hippo pool side. Later in the afternoon you will drive up the Crater rim and drive for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House.
Day 12: Tarangire National Park
Depart after breakfast; drive to Tarangire National Park the third largest park in Tanzania and the theater of the wild in Tanzania. Game drive enroute to camp. Tarangire national park has a lot to offer you in terms of wildlife and its awe- inspiring sights of the gigantic baobab that dot the park. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of this wonderful reserve and it ensures an abundance of wildlife along the river when they come to get a fair share of the valuable commodity especially in dry seasons. Among animals spotted in Tarangire includes, lions, elephants, leopards, Oryx, dik diks, and a wide range of birds species. Later in the afternoon you will check in at Maramboi Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Tarangire National Park.
Depart with breakfast boxes and head out in search of game. Return to lodge for hot lunch. Afternoon at leisure or an afternoon drive if you so wish.
Return to lodge for dinner and overnight at Maramboi tented Camp.
Day 14: Tarangire National Park - Arusha
After breakfast in the lodge, you will go for a morning game drive, early afternoon drive back to Arusha, visit one souvenir shop on the way. Arrive in time for lunch and day room at Mount Meru Hotel.
Late in the afternoon, transfer to Kilimanjaro International airport for your flight back home.
