  • The old flare-flair trick, eh? The thing that makes me tear my hair out is when people can't distinguish "its" from "it's."

    Hi Ed,
    Thanks for the heads-up.
Unfortunately, I encountered these problems with that magazine:

    1. My e-mail to "mk" bounced back.
    2. I queried the editor (at the correct address) and received no reply (or even acknowledgment).
    3. I obtained a copy of the magazine and discovered the most incredible lack of professionalism: elementary grammar mistakes -- and an editor who does not know the difference between "flare" and "flair"!

Still, we appreciate those leads. :)

    • Thanks for the heads up, Ed. I'm traveling to Bali in October.

  • Noah, I'm not the magazine editor who needed Bali stories; I merely posted the news in hopes of helping a Tripatini member or two get a good assignment (or two).

    Hi Ed,

I've written a few stories on Bali. Do you still need one for Broughton Quarterly? If you're still looking I can show you what I've got.

    Best,

    Noah
