I'll be staying in Paris at the end of a press trip--so picking up the tab myself. Anyone have a recommendation of a good, safe budget hotel? I'm not too picky--just near the metro for easy airport transport. Thanks.

There is a cute hotel called Family in the Rue Cler area near the Eiffel Tower, and the Style hotel near Montmarte. It was a few years ago but the owners were very nice.

Great location off Bd du Port Royal, under 90 Euros, friendly staff - I stayed last October to write some video scripts and had smallish, but lovely room overlooking the street. Highly recommended
Hey Lana ... great you found what you're looking for.
And thanks for the traveljunkies compliment. Now make sure you tell all your friends, colleagues and just about everyone else you know :)
Thanks again.

Thanks for the recommendations! I found The Hotel Tourism, a decent, well-located two-star near the Eiffel Tour, that's not breaking the bank (Sherry, Hotel La Perle was booked on my dates--but looked great; Cliff, traveljunkies is genius). Thanks you all!
