Fodor's Travel is looking for writers based in India with deep local knowledge. In particular, we are seeking writers living in Kerala, Rajasthan and Kolkata.

Fodor's is a leading guidebook brand for American travelers with more than 300 titles covering most corners of the globe (www.fodors.com).

If you are working in India, or know any reporters/factcheckers who are currently stationed there, please be in touch. Feel free to pass this request on to friends, colleagues, and other journalism listservs. Please note that we hire journalists who have local expertise, i.e. most writers work in the specific country/region or live there at least part of the year. We're looking commission immediately, and assignments will be due back in mid July. Topics include sights, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, the arts, sports and shopping.
