Fodor's Travel is looking for writers for the upcoming edition of our France guidebook, specifically concerning the following regions:
-The Loire Valley
-Normandy
-Brittany
-Basque Country, Gascony, and Hautes-Pyrénées
-Bordeaux and the Wine Country
Fodor's is a leading guidebook brand for American travelers with more than 300 titles covering most corners of the globe (www.fodors.com).
If you are working in the above areas, or know any reporters/writers who are currently living there, please be in touch. Feel free to pass this request on to friends, colleagues, and journalism listservs. Please note that we hire journalists who have local expertise, i.e. most writers work in the specific country/region or live there at least part of the year. We're looking to make assignments now and assignments are due back by the end of February. Topics include sights, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, the arts, sports and shopping.
If interested, please send your resume and clips addressed to Amanda Sadlowski at asadlowski@fodors.com. Clips demonstrating experience writing restaurant, hotel, or site reviews are especially valuable. Please include a few lines about your topical expertise. Also note how long you have been in the country, and your comfort level with French. Fluent English speakers and strong writers preferred.
Thanks,
Amanda
