DAY 01 | Mustapafasa : Here is old village which was inhabited by Greeks. That is also known as Sinasos (greek name).The Greek Orthodox families lived here till the begining of 20 th century. After the foundation of Turkish Republic in 1923,there was a population exchange between Greece and Turkey.So lost of greek families settled here.The small town has very nice houses built in Greek architecture. You have a chance to see theses with ornaments,decorations and arches in houses all typical to Greek architecture. Damsa: That is a big dam in this area very close to Ürgüp town.It's surrounded by the gorgeous mountains of region so you will drop into this place to see the view.The reason of building a dam here is to provide water supply to area.The region is very dry especially in summer.It gets lost of snow in winter almost 4 months but the dam of Damsa also helps. Cemil : Cemil is a small village around Ürgüp and very old place also settled by Christians.You will drive to the narrow and old streets of village to see old church called Cemil church and old caves there.Here is also a small place where people live in caves still now.Here the main industry is agriculture and cettle farming.The area is volcanic that is why locals easily plant everything on farms here like vegetables and grains.And there you see locals farming that shows you how the life goes on here.

Its Greek name means "citadel." The modern city of Bergama,is the successor of ancient Pergamum. The Asklepion, gained in prominence under the Romans in the 2nd century AD, but a sacred site existed here as early as the 4th century BC.
Many of the treatments employed at Pergamum, in complement with a sacred source of water that was later discovered as having radioactive properties, have been used for centuries and are once again finding modern application.

Aphrodisias, According to recent excavations, the site was occupied as early as the late Neolithic period and developed through the Bronze and Iron Ages. Tetrapylon, It was the monumental gateway which greeted pilgrims when they approached the Temple of Aphrodite. The Temple of Aphrodite, The Temple of Aphrodite was located in the northern section and formed the centre of the city. Odeon, To the south of the temple of Aphrodite, a very well-preserved Odeon (Concert-hall) was discovered in 1962. Baths of Hadrian, Built in the 2nd century B.D, the remains of the baths are facing the Agora gate to the west end of the Portico of Tiberius. The Theatre, The Theatre of the city was built in the second half of the first century B.C on the eastern slope of the acropolis. The Agora, The Agora of Aphrodisias was the large public or market area in the northern part of the portico between the Temple of Aphrodite and the Acropolis.

Pasabaglari, We call here monks valley too.At the end of 5 th century one of the saints called St.Simeon from Syria came here and lived in a cave in the valley and live as a hermit.Here youfind all the fairy chimneys with three caps on them. Avanos, We can call here as the heart of art and handicrafts of the area.Here is the small town where the locals make potteries and seramics.This tradition was first started by Hittites 4000 years ago.Red River,Kızılırmak in Turkish,passes from the village. Göreme, The names given here in history Korama,Avcılar and still called Maccan by locals.This is the place where you see lots of rock cut churches with best paintings of the area. Here was used as missionary school beginning from 2 nd centuries till 12 th centuries. Goreme Open Air Museum, Featuring the most impressive of all rock-carved churches in Cappadocia. Esentepe, That s the best view you can ever see in the area.You will have a break on a hill called Esentepe where you see all the marvellous looking valleys with different shapes and the volcanoes shaped them. Red Valley, (Kızılçukur) Here is a valley called Rose valley as well because of the color of the rocks there.This is one of the best valleys for hiking in the area.That was also used by Christians at the end of 5 th centuries,so you will explore the cave dwelling used by them,visiting old churches too. Çavuşin Village, This is a village used in the early period of Christians having the oldest church of region dating back to 3 rd century.It was exactly settled like a big town where you see lots of cave rooms used as living rooms,sleeping rooms,kitchens,wineries,etc. Kaymaklı, These are probably the most interesting places to see in the area that you shouldnt miss.These are quite old as well. Pigeon Valley, This is the valley called Pigeon valley because of the Pigeon houses on them.Pigeons had different uses in the history.Hittites used them for communication,to send massages between the villages.. Çatalkaya, May be that s known as the most famous fairy chimneys of Cappadocia.You here stop to see conical ones with caps on top.There are two big one done small here that s why they are called there beauties by locals.
