Hello, everyone!  As some of you may recall, the online travel/food community and blog Tripatini has held several high-profile events in the past couple of years, in Orlando, New York City, and Las Vegas, that have garnered a good deal of interest from travel media, particularly the blogosphere. And they’ve just been plain old fun, to boot -- some attendees told us, for example, that our terrace party in Manhattan last July (right) was the most enjoyable event they’d attended all year (you can see more pictures here and a quick video here and below). All have garnered significant exposure and coverage for travel/hospitality/culinary vendors who donated prizes to give away to media during our events.

 

Well, here we go again: a glamorous soirée in Mahattan's chic Hotel Andaz Fifth Avenue, right across from the majestic New York Public Library. We’re throwing this bash just before the New York Times Travel Show to showcase not just ourselves but also the rebranding of travel insurance giant Access America, now Allianz Global Assistance, and our hostess for the occasion is the inimitable Pauline Frommer, who as you know besides editing her own awardwinning imprint of travel guidebooks also writes regularly for outlets across the U.S. and Canada, co-hosts with her legendary father Arthur Frommer (who is also expected to attend) a weekly radio show that is heard in dozens of major markets, and is constantly on network and cable TV being interviewed about travel.
 

Drawings and games have become a feature of our events, and we’d like to see if you or your client(s) would be interested in donating a travel prize. In addition to the direct media exposure at the event itself, we will be actively publicizing all prizes before and during the event via Facebook, Twitter, and our own network Tripatini (which currently has a Google page rank of 4, Alexa rank 94,537, Klout 45, and more than 60,000 unique page views a month, with a particularly superior amplifying effect thanks to its 1,500+ influential travel/food media members); a PR campaign co-ordinated by M. Booth Public Relations; as well as via Pauline’s social media channels and media outlets. In addition, we plan to webcast the event on Tripatini, its Facebook page, and the FB page of Allianz, which will boost the live audience manyfold. After the event, participating companies will receive complimentary ads on Tripatini’s home page as well as on relevant destination and topic forums (for examples of the latter, see our MexicoCosta Rica and Las Vegas pages).
