Located in Arusha National Park just 43 miles west of Mount Kilimanjaro, 14,967-foot Meru is the fourth highest peak, its fertile slopes carpeted with fauna-rich forestland. A more approachable climb than Kilimanjaro, it can be done in four or even three days.
