The Wanhua District is the city´s oldest and most historic district – dating back to the 17th century Ching dynasty – and is home to various temples, the most famous of which is this one, built in 1738 to not one but three creeds: Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism, adorned with exquisite stone, wood, and bronze sculptures and active with worshippers who usually don´t mind you taking pictures)
