In the province of Huelva at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, Doñana is Europe´s most important wetland migration hubso much so in fact that it´s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park covers about 210 square miles and supports 360 to 400 species, including Spanish imperial eagle (above left) and huge migratory flocks;  in spring and fall they are truly sights to behold. Seville Airport is the gateway, followed by a drive of an hour to an hour and a half.
