I found this article http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/would-social-media-change-your-vacation-plans-2150547.html quite interesting about people still looking to traditional outlets for information, more than half (57 percent) said they had confidence in travel guidebooks, before turning to websites - 53 percent said online advisory guides, and 46 percent said company or destination websites.

 

My strategic approach has always been integrated marketing combining new with old tactics. You can't just do social media there needs to be more that meets other people's expectations.
