Women hit the slopes and party it up in North Lake Tahoe for Women’s Ski Weekend
(San Francisco, CA, USA – December 26, 2011) Who says girls don’t have a need for speed? Not Girls That Roam.
This winter the online women’s travel magazine and community is hitting the slopes with its best gal pals and partying it up for an all-girl getaway for Women’s Ski Weekend at Squaw Valley in North Lake Tahoe, March 22 – 25, 2012.
“We were inspired to create this weekend after having so much fun skiing last winter when we had an all-girl getaway with a group of our friends,” said Heather Cassell, co-founder, publisher, and editor of Girls That Roam. “We had such a blast that we wanted to share it with as many women as possible.”
We aren’t alone. Women’s ski getaways are popping up across the country, but this is the only ski weekend for women in Lake Tahoe.
Women will head up to the Sierra’s in style in a luxury party bus in March for some spring skiing at historic Olympic Village at Squaw Valley. Parties, entertainment, and other events are planned by Girls That Roam for the four day and three night getaway along with events already planned at the ski resort. Die hard skiers and boarders can stay the entire week and catch the Women of Winter Ski Clinic on Wednesday as an addition to their package.
Ski, snowboard, and swim. The High Camp pool and hot tub on the mountain usually opens the weekend of Women’s Ski Weekend (subject to weather conditions).
“Party people, we’ve got some dancing and drinking to do after slushing through that powder!” added Geena Dabadghav, co-founder and chief technology officer of Girls That Roam.
