-- GOLDEN TULIP BRUSSELS AIRPORT OPENS ITS DOORS --

Golden Tulip has added a new franchised property to their hotel collection.

The newly renovated and redecorated Golden Tulip Brussels Airport recently opened its doors to guests.  Formerly the Sofitel Brussels Airport, the four-star property contains 120 tastefully appointed rooms and five suites.  It also offers a new contemporary restaurant “Chez Daniel,” “Harry’s Bar”, a pool, whirlpool, sauna, workout room, and banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 450 for a seated dinner. Complimentary shuttle service to Brussels Airport and surrounding office complexes is also available.

Brussels is the largest city in Belgium. It is home to the European Union (EU) and Parliament.   Business and leisure travelers will find the property perfectly situated -- directly across from NATO headquarters and nearby to corporate headquarters of many Fortune 500 companies.  Grand Place, the old medieval city center of Brussels, is 15 minutes away.

Although only recently opened, the hotel was awarded with the prestigious 2011 Green Planet Award for it’s environmental efforts.

The new owners of Golden Tulip Brussels Airport, Harry Heinrichs and Kees van Maaswaal are both well known and respected in the hotel industry. Harry Heinrichs has a proven track record of hotel developments and operations within the Dutch based van der Valk family Hotel Group and Kees van Maaswaal was the former head of the Accor group in the Netherlands.

“We’re the only owner-owned property in the region.”  says Kees van Maaswaal. “Our goal is to make every guest feel like they are a welcomed visitor in our home.   Great care has been placed on training each team member that their primary role is to be the best host or hostess possible, as well as the best cook, reception employee or chambermaid. We’re here to make every stay a happy one, no matter what it takes.”

Reservations for the Golden Tulip Brussels Airport can be made on-line at www.goldentulipbrusselsairport.be
