Walking tour company Context Travel has partnered with London’s first unhotel, onefinestay (www.onefinestay.com) to offer a special River Thames package to visitors to London throughout March 2011.

Context Travel and onefinestay are celebrating the 157th Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, taking place on March 26, 2011, by offering three nights in all onefinestay homes, including a couple of the homes along the river, and tours along the pedestrianized South Bank.

“The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race has been a huge event since its first edition in 1829” says Petulia Melideo of Context London. “It's a great opportunity for people from all over to come and see two of the most famous Universities in the world compete against each other. The Race is a social event as well as a sport event. It also reminds people about the importance and role of the river Thames.”

The package includes a complimentary bottle of champagne and a 20% discount on a Context walk, including either their “ Tides of Time” walking seminar along the Thames or their Tate Modern tour. Context’s walks are led by historians, art historians, and other experts, and designed to provide intellectually curious travelers a deeper experience of London.

“onefinestay offers a new category of accommodation that is spacious, characterful and better value than a hotel. And it offers a unique experience-the opportunity to ‘live like a local’.” says Greg Marsh, co-founder and CEO of onefinestay. “You get to experience the city as a true Londoner, but with all the advantages of a hotel.”

onefinestay (www.onefinestay.com) is London’s first unhotel. It’s a compelling alternative to traditional hotels, and neatly avoids the hassles and compromises of vacation rentals. Guests enjoy luxury amenities along with an iPhone they can borrow for free during their stay that plays short videos about the home, its contents and history. And for everything else, the onefinestay team is on call 24/7, by phone, or in person.

Founded by National Geographic writer Paul Bennett and graphic designer Lani Bevacqua, Context is a network of English-speaking scholars and professionals – including art historians, writers, architects and gastronomes – who organize and lead didactic walking seminars in several world cities, including: Florence, Rome, Venice, Naples, Paris, London, New York, Istanbul, Philadelphia, Madrid, Athens, and Boston. Travel + Leisure has named Context one of the top European tour companies for its innovative approach to travel and the depth of its programs.
